The Consortium

The consortium is coordinated by Marine Technology Centre (CTN) and formed by two spanish partners, Camar Industrial S.A. (CAMAR) and Piscifactorías Albaladejo S.L. (PISCIALBA), and a greek partner called Plagton.

The Consortium has been strategically designed to upscale an innovative product and improve its internationalization by testing in two key countries for the EU aquaculture sector in the Mediterranean Sea (Spain and Greece). The Consortium is made up of a multidisciplinary team representing all the actors involved in the value chain of the SICA commercialization. The Consortium includes research (CTN), industrial partners (CAMAR) as well as end users (PISCIALBA and PLAGTON) to uptake the SICA to the market.

Marine Technology Centre

Marine Technology Centre (CTN) is an association of companies established in 2003 with the aim to improve the competitiveness of the overall marine and maritime sector through the development of new technological solutions and technology transfer. CTN encourages the integration of all the actors of the sector with the aim to improve the cooperation and collaboration among them, the search of new business opportunities, the preparation of new innovative solutions and the development of Research and Development projects.

Camar Industrial S.A.

CAMAR INDUSTRIAL, founded in 1987, specializes in the development of projects for industrial and ship maintenance in the fields of electronics, electricity, communications, tactical systems, propulsion control, batteries for submarines, control systems, surveillance and alarms, and pneumatic.

Piscifactorías Albaladejo S.L.

Piscifactorías Albaladejo S.L. (Piscialba) was founded in 2004. Currently it is dedicated to fishing and aquaculture, and more specifically to fattening of Gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata) and sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax). It also has a license to fatten other species of aquaculture interest, such as bluefin tuna (Thunnus thynnus), Lecha (Serio dumerilii) or meagre (Argyrosomusus regime) among others.

Plagton S.A. was founded in 1993 as an LTD aiming at the development of aquaculture. In the sector of marine aquaculture, the company owns and runs a hatchery, an on-growing farm and a packaging unit.
